Course Description

Prepares medical laboratory students to perform required tests in the areas of hematology and coagulation. Theoretical knowledge of the hematopoietic system and procedures for the purpose of identifying and quantifying different cell types, cell structure, chemical content, and fuctional activity are stressed. Coagulation theories and factor identification in specific bleeding disorders are presented.
