Degree: Associate in Applied Science
Plan 25HC

This program prepares students for entry- and middle-level positions in agencies and programs specialized in helping people. This includes organizations with programs for adults provided through hospitals, nursing homes, institutions for people with developmental disabilities, and community human services programs. The degree-seeking student completes general education and Human Services core courses, as well as adult services-specific courses. All students are encouraged to consult with department faculty. Human Services courses may transfer to four-year institutions with related programs.

To complete an A.A.S., students are strongly encouraged to meet with an Academic Success Advisor to identify coursework that will meet degree requirements.

CLC 120 is an institutional requirement for graduation.

+ Completing coursework during the summer session(s) may enable students to complete the program earlier or reduce the course load during fall and spring semesters.

Note: This plan includes recommendations for students who plan to major in this subject at a four-year school. Students who follow this plan will meet the requirements of a general transfer degree (A.A. or A.S). The CLC degree earned will be a general transfer degree, not a degree in this specific area of study.

For more information on recommended courses or program specific advising, contact Mick Cullen at (847) 543-2573 or mcullen@clcillinois.edu, or the Business and Social Sciences Division at (847) 543-2047.
