Catalog Description

Develop skills relating to Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) - also known as Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding - to join metal using heat and electricity. Develop industrial math skills and learn how to read blueprints used in metal fabrication and welding. The certificate courses ladder into a degree program.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Identify GMAW equipment

Safely setup GMAW equipment as it pertains to industry standards

Execute various weldments with the GMAW process
