Catalog Description

This Industrial Maintenance Technology certificate prepares students to install, maintain, and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery. In this certificate of study, students will gain skills in mechanical equipment installation, disassembly, and repair; hydraulic and pneumatic installation and repair; and electrical systems installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

 

This certificate allows students to work towards the mechanical and fluid-power disciplines in industrial technology while working towards the Industrial Technology Specialist Associate in Applied Science degree.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Establish closed loop process controller operating parameters and demonstrate the difference between the types of controllers that are typically used in manufacturing process control systems.

Analyze and interpret advance fluid-power system circuits

Install, troubleshoot, and rebuild pump, fluid-power, and other building system circuits.

Design and build intermediate pneumatic and hydraulic circuits

Install, troubleshoot, and repair basic mechanical system problems.

Analyze and design fluid-power system circuits.

Note: INT 295 is a new course that is being added to the INT program, and it will be in this certificate as semester 3 in this sequence.
