This 12-hour certificate is intended for those who wish to expand their professional opportunities and to enhance their teaching skills by adding a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate to their portfolio. TEFL Certificates are often required to teach English in non-English speaking countries around the world.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Develop and implement engaging, communicative-based lesson plans that promote English language acquisition in foreign language learning contexts.

Apply effective classroom management strategies and instructional techniques to support English learners in a variety of cultural and educational settings.

Demonstrate an understanding of language teaching methodologies and assessment practices that align with best practices in TEFL instruction.
