This 12-hour certificate is intended for those who wish to expand their professional opportunities and to enhance their teaching skills by adding a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate to their portfolio. TEFL Certificates are often required to teach English in non-English speaking countries around the world.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Apply principles and methods of foreign language teaching to design and deliver effective English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction.

Analyze and use the structure and functions of the English language to inform and improve language teaching practices.

Demonstrate pedagogical and professional skills through lesson planning, classroom practice, and reflective fieldwork.
