This certificate is intended for current teachers, native or non-native speakers, who wish to expand their professional opportunities and to enhance their teaching skills by adding a TESOL certificate to their portfolio and for college graduates and/or first time teachers interested in teaching English in a non-English speaking country; as well as for professionals interested in applying their skills in the field of English language teaching.
Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:
Develop practical skills in lesson planning, instructional strategies, and assessment methods tailored to Multilingual Learners in diverse educational settings.
Demonstrate an understanding of second language acquisition theories and their application in designing effective, student-centered language instruction.
Apply culturally responsive teaching practices to foster inclusive learning environments for multilingual learners.
