Catalog Description

The Web Programming certificate provides students with the necessary skills to begin a career in web development. The student will learn to create web pages and interfaces using client- and server-side programming for the development of web applications. The student will also develop web pages incorporating database applications and components, which will include database administration, security and maintenance.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Design, develop, and deploy dynamic web applications using front-end and back-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side scripting languages.

Implement database-driven web applications, ensuring secure data management, authentication, and protection against common security vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS).
