Course Description
This course addresses the in-depth study of special topics in phlebotomy that do not have specific courses in the catalog. Course content will vary depending on the topic being studied. Topics may include the circulatory system, medical ethics, fundamentals in healthcare communication, the changing role of phlebotomist, quality assurance in healthcare, infection control practices, nonblood specimen collection, transport, processing and testing; etc. This course is repeatable up to three times, any topic only once, for a maximum of 6 hours towards degree completion.
