Catalog Description

The Hospitality Management associate degree program introduces students to the dynamic world of hospitality. Students learn about the various business segments within the hospitality industry, and they can use both the degree and the different courses to explore areas of interest and career opportunities further. Students enrolled in the program can earn credits and/or a degree toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management with articulating institutions.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Apply food service safety and sanitation methods

Prepare items using proper culinary techniques

Ensure compliance with  health and safety regulations

Manage food service operations

Manage food purchases, storage, inventory, and cost control

Apply leadership principles to employee development.

Design and implement menus

Manage a budget

Demonstrate good customer service skills
