The Residential Air Conditioning Technician Certificate program prepares students for employment as residential air conditioning trainees. This certificate emphasizes the operational characteristics of various types of residential air conditioning systems and the technical skills required for proper service and maintenance.

Coursework focuses on reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and schematics, safe and proper refrigerant handling, and the correct use of manifold gauge sets and electrical test equipment.

Students develop troubleshooting skills related to system operation, controls, and performance.
