Catalog Description

The Automotive Damage Analysis Certificate prepares students for entry-level positions supporting collision repair estimating and damage assessment operations. The program focuses on developing the knowledge and technical skills required to inspect collision damage, document repair needs, and assist in the preparation of accurate and complete repair estimates. Coursework provides instruction in vehicle construction, non-structural repair procedures, and refinishing considerations to support comprehensive damage analysis. Students learn to use industry-standard estimating software to create computer-generated damage reports and repair estimates, while also gaining an understanding of shop workflow, insurance processes, and collision repair documentation requirements.

Through a combination of classroom instruction and applied learning activities, students develop the analytical, technical, and professional skills needed to support estimators, service advisors, and shop managers in modern collision repair facilities.
