Catalog Description

This certificate is the first security certification a student should earn. The certificate will prepare students to assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions, monitor, and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT. Students will develop an awareness of applicable laws and policies, including principles of governance, risk, and compliance. The certificate can be completed as a student progresses through the CIT AAS degree program with the specialty option of Network Administration and Cybersecurity. On completion of this coursework, the student will be prepared to take certification exams for Security+.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Identify, Analyze, and Respond to Security Threats
