Catalog Description

The Network Administration and Security certificate prepares students for careers in designing and administering computer networks. In addition, coursework for this curriculum addresses how to keep networks secure from outside intrusion and procedures on securing evidence if network security has been breached.

Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:

Administer and secure enterprise networks by implementing access controls, monitoring network traffic, and applying security policies to protect data and systems.

Identify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities using security tools, penetration testing, and forensic techniques.
