Catalog Description

This certificate prepares students for entry level competencies as phlebotomists in hospitals, intermediate care facilities, blood banks, and other clinical settings. On campus, students will learn theory and develop skills as a phlebotomist. Upon successful completion of the didactic courses, students may enroll in the final course, which requires a three week externship. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the national certification examination given by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

This is not a limited enrollment program, however, seats fill quickly. Day and evening options are available.
