The construction and maintenance specialty is ideal for those interested in work as landscape contractors, either for landscape firms or as entrepreneurs. Students take the general horticulture coursework plus relevant specialty courses such as landscape maintenance and entrepreneurship.
Once the program has been completed, students should be able to:
Explain the landscape construction process, from initial client consultation to project close out.
Describe the use and operation of commonly-used landscape maintenance equipment.
