Paintless Dent Removal

Course Description

This course introduces students to the theory and application of Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) techniques used in the automotive collision repair industry. Students develop foundational skills in dent theory, vehicle inspection, damage evaluation, and proper selection and use of PDR tools and equipment, including glue-pulling systems. Instruction emphasizes safe work practices, dent access and set-up, hand-eye coordination, and controlled metal manipulation to restore panel contours without refinishing. Additional topics include interior and exterior component removal to gain repair access, repair-versus-replace decision making, and final inspection procedures. Classroom instruction is reinforced through hands-on laboratory experience utilizing live vehicles and industry-standard PDR training aids. NOTE: Work Experience may be considered to meet the prerequisite.
