This course introduces students to microorganisms with an emphasis on pathogenic organisms such as bacteria, yeasts, molds and viruses. The role of microorganisms in causing infection and development of immunity will also be discussed. NOTE: This course should ONLY be taken by those students pursuing the Surgical Technology Certificate.
