This course expands the use of therapeutic communication in select patient populations. The course also focuses on utilization of the nursing process and evidence-based practice in providing safe care to individuals with acute and chronic mental health disorders. Instructional methodologies include patient-centered clinical experiences and structured classroom student-teacher interactions.
