Shielded Metal Arc Welding II

Course Description

This course is an advanced study in “stick” electrode welding theory and practices. The opportunity to develop out-of-position welding skills on carbon steel plate and pipe will be studied and practiced. Methods of weld testing, metal/joint preparation and technique for certification procedures will also be studied and practiced. Additional study and practice of stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum metals will also be covered. Note: Students must furnish basic required PPE.
