Introduction to Linear Algebra

Course Description

This is a first course in vectors, matrices, vector spaces and linear transformations and includes a substantial proof component. Applications of topics to problems arising in engineering and business are included. The course may be taken concurrently with, but should not replace, a course in multivariable calculus. A student should expect to take a more complete linear algebra course at a baccalaureate transfer institution. Computer software will be integrated as appropriate.NOTE: A specific graphing calculator is required for this course. Contact the EMPS division office for more details.
