Course Description

This course provides the student with an introduction to multiple ethical considerations in the counselor-client relationship. Topics considered will include personal values of professional staff, confidentiality, sexual and social contact with clients, self-determination, conflicts of interest, dual relationships, and more. Students will also consider application of agency policies, professional ethics, and the law.Recommended Prerequisite: HUS 140 (C or better) and HUS 128 (C or better)
